Maemian is designed to be a tool to check policy in maemo packages like lintian does for debian packages. The overall aim is to increase quality in maemo applications. There is a wiki page which defines some of the current issues and ideas reagarding quality assuarance in maemo.
Maemian has its own wiki page on the Maemo.org wiki, surf on by if you want to get involved.
