        because other threads (or even the main thread, via another idle handler) 
        can call modest_platform_connect_and_wait() while 
        modest_platform_connect_and_wait() is running.

        Added modest_ui_actions_on_new_account() as a signal handler for the 
        New Account menu item. It shows the easysetup wizard.
